She's so loved...

Our most recent play date! I love my friends Malaina and Caleb!

My Aunt Meggie is the best! I wish I could see her more often!

I finally got some time to play with Amanda! It's usually not until those wild kids, Halle and Max, go to sleep!

Streeeetch!

Those eyes! She had me from 'hello!'

We've been quite busy lately - and have really enjoyed some much needed time with friends and family!
Last week, were able to squeeze in a playdate around the weather and our otherwise hectic schedules! Michelle, Leah and I always agree that these playdates are a must! Mommies need to get together - to vent, to share, to laugh, to just be with other Mommies! I truly cherish these hours with my friends and I hope that Brooke will soon be able to understand how special Malaina and Caleb are to our lives! We're already looking forward to our next date on the 11th!

We had a wonderful day with Aunt Meggie and cousin Josh this weekend too! They came for a quick visit to give Jason some quiet time to study for a test at home - and boy, was I glad to see Josh! My sister has said it before, but I don't know how we let a whole month go by without seeing each other's kids! When I opened the door to my parent's house, Josh's face lit up and he stretched his arms open and came running to me at the door, saying "Aunt Libby!" I bent down and scooped him up - it was the best welcome I've ever gotten! I told him that I missed him SO MUCH and that I love him, and he returned each statement! "I miss you toooo, Aunt Wibby! I love you tooooo, Aunt Wibby!" He's the best!
Meg got some much needed Brooke time too! We played the day away and even got to sneak away to show Aunt Meggie the kitchen! After a yummy party-pack for supper and a quick tub for Josh, we all sat down to watch "Horton Hears a Who," and Brooke and I headed out shortly there after... It was the best day...
On Sunday, we welcomed Grammy Kathy to our house for the night! Unfortunately, her Grandmother, Zig's Great Grandmother, and Brooke's Great-Great Grandmother passed away last week, and we were all gathering for her services.
Kathy and I enjoyed a nice evening together chatting and watching the Super Bowl while Zig was at the firehouse for the bowl festivities!
My Mom was here bright and early yesterday morning to keep Brooke while we all went to Gram Besch's services. Brooke had had an awful night's sleep so I figured she might be a bear...and she was, but Nana is getting really good at handling her!
Yesterday afternoon, Amanda thought it would be nice to take the kids to Gram Joyce's to visit with her and keep her mind off of the day's events - and we had so much fun! Halle, Max, Brooke, Zoe and Marlee all got together for a few hours, which allowed for lots of visit time for me, Manda, Aunt Stephanie, Great Aunt Kim, and Grammy Joyce! I think it was just what we all needed after mourning together all day.
We are so fortunate to be surrounded by friends and family that love us and love our daughter so much! I continue to be thankful every day for my family, for Zig's family, and for my dearest friends that are becoming family to us!
As the first year of her life FLIES by - I need to remember to count my blessings and be thankful for every second I have with her... She's the best and she is so loved!
