Lately...

Alrighty then...
Absolutely ZERO CLUE as to why the pictures are spaced this way...so I'll just go with it.

Eh Hem.

What have we been up to lately?

Brooke spent the weekend with Mommy and Daddy and man, were we ever busy! On purpose!

Saturday morning, we went out for breakfast...something that I LOVE to do, but don't often get the chance!
I'm a pancake-lover, and I love me some great french toast too...so I got both! To share with Brooke, of course!
However, she didn't want pancakes OR french toast.

Nope. Just Peanut Butter.
Straight from the sample container.

I couldn't help but think of Josh, and how this would NOT be a healthy choice for his breakfast...

But Brooke loved it. Ate it all up with a spoon!

The orders of pancakes and french toast?
No worries about those folks, I took care of them!

Brooke loves to play with the sugar packets when we go out to eat. Mostly because we won't allow her to play with the salt and pepper shakers.

My Gram was the only person in the entire world (that I knew of) who ever used Equal in their tea... I still can't see a packet of this sweet stuff with out thinking of my Gram...and how much I miss her.

Maybe Brooke's obession with sugar packets is Gram's way of saying hello...

After breakfast, and before her nap, Brooke and I played outside on the porch! We watered the flowers, picked up sticks for Daddy, and blew bubbles!

Daddy and I started planning the rest of the day...and decided to head to State College for a walk through the mall, an early supper, and Meyer's Dairy ice cream! (I still haven't told my Mom that we made this little stop on the way home!)

Upon our arrival in Burnham, we found that more HUGE tree branches had fallen in our yard!
We have really big trees that surround our property, and we always worry about them when we have big storms. It seems that some of our trees have recently been struck by lightning, since the branches that have been falling are black and seem burned. Yikes...
Zig chopped up the branches with the chainsaw and hauled them away!
Sunday morning, we got all 'prettied up' for church! Brooke is having more and more trouble sitting through the service lately...so Mommy spent lots of time in the nursery with her! I miss sitting through a church service and actually being able to LISTEN to the sermon, but, this too shall pass, right?

We've also been enjoying the break in the heat! Brooke loves to be outside, so we blow lots of bubbles and take lots of walks! We pick out pretty leaves, watch for birds, listen for doggies, and practice listening to Mommy as she tries to remind Brooke to stay off of the ROAD! Ugh...

Something I'm super excited about...
Remember those amazing grilled cheese sandwiches that I blogged about from Benezette?
Zig attempted to recreate these masterpieces last night for supper!
Um... wow! YUMMY!
How cute does she look in this surfer outfit? I worried that she looked like a boy in those colors...
...but with that bow and beautiful green eyes... She's SUCH a girl!

How funny is this face? Almost like, "Moooooooooom! Another picture!!?? Come ON!"
For the rest of this week, we're looking forward to a swimming playdate with Manda, the kids, and Jenn and Noah tomorrow... a possible trip to school for Mommy on Thursday... and best of all, a trip to Milton to spend the day with Aunt Meg and the kids on Friday!! HOORAY!!
Stay tuned!
