"Pigs," Pudding, Pap, and Porch chairs.

Brooke's Nana and Pap took her to a local shoe store this week and had her little 'pigs' officially sized for the first time!
She came home with her a brand new pair of size 6 'kicks!'
Thanks Nan and Pap!
I don't know if it's the independence in feeding herself, or if it's actually this new snack, but Brooke loves PUDDING!

Mommy isn't exactly fond of cleaning it up...

(Notice that I've stripped her of any nice clothing while enjoying this special snack - kind of like eating spaghetti!)

Pap has always been at the top of Brooke's 'favorite people' list...and last weekend's warm weather gave us just enough reasons to go to Pap's house to play outside!
Pap gave her a watering can full of water so that she could play, they watched for birds, danced to music, and took a walk in the yard together. Such fun!

Daddy decided to break out the patio furniture last weekend!

She may be small, but her conversations are very enlightening!
I can't wait to sit on these porch chairs and watch as my baby girl gets bigger and bigger each year!

**Brooke had her 18 month check on Wednesday with Dr. Sheilah! What a healthy girl we have! She only gained a little over a pound, but grew 2 inches since December! She ranges completely in the 60th percentile in height, weight, and head circ., which is great - since she used to be a little 'top heavy' and disproportioned!
Our favorite nurse (and family friend) Crystal helped Brooke get through the single shot in her leg - and we were headed home with another doctor's visit under our belts! WHEW!
Thank you, Lord, for our healthy daughter, and for every second we have to love her!**

Picture Update!

Can you spot my big girl in the pile of baby dolls and blocks??

...our little Momma!

Cupcakes for church!

They look more and more alike every day!!

The Princess on her throne!
She is telling us when she needs to 'pee' and always announces when she 'poops'...but has yet to actually 'go' on the potty!
After Mommy and Brooke get home from school, Brooke always asks for her 'milk' and 'moozie.'
I'm in love with the Baby Einstein movie series!
She loves to watch these movies! She sings and dances to the music, and she's learning so many words and numbers!

Her new favorite snack is 'abook.'
That's 'Brookie' for YOGURT!
She uses her own spoon and eats an entire Whips Yogurt at least once a day!
The weather has been so beautiful lately!
I can already tell that the Spring and Summer seasons are going to be so much fun with Brooke this year!
We're beginning to collect outside toys- including our car AND rollercoaster - and we can't wait to spend our evenings playing and walking outside!
We must have walked 50 laps around the house last night!

We saw birdies and puppy dogs...

...collected sticks and a smidge of bird poop!

We heald hands and enjoyed each other!

Mommy loves you, sweet girl!

12

Twelve.
Twelve years ago.
Twelve years ago, on a cold March evening, during my freshman year of high school, a handsome Indian Valley sophomore on the baseball team...asked me to be 'his.'

And I said 'yes.'

It had only been about a month since the very first time he had called.
"Hello?"
"Is this Libby?"
"Yes."
"Do you know who this is?"
"No."
"It's Zig."

My heart skipped a beat that day. And it still skips a beat today as I relive those days so long ago...

I had fallen for Zig months before this phone call. From the very first day I saw him on the diving board at the Burnham pool... I just had to have him! ...but he wasn't interested! Had his eyes on 'another.'
So, I waited. As patiently as I could.
And finally, after seeing me in my incredibly-short cheerleading uniform at the rival basketball game, he called. ...he was finally interested.

We went bowling on our first date. I'll never forget his bowling skills - as he could bowl a strike by rolling the ball between his legs! How impressive!

He sent me flowers. We spent countless hours on the phone getting to know each other. He met my family. I met his family. He made me feel like I was the most beautiful woman in the world.

And then, on March 9, I officially was 'his.'

The road has been long - to get to where we are.
We've hit a lot of bumps and we've made a few wrong turns -
But I know for sure that March 9 was the very beginning of my true-life fairy tale.

And I'm thankful for every step of my journey...

So, to my handsome diving-board husband...
Happy Anniversary!
